What conditions must be met in order to register a company in Kenya?

The requirements for registration of a company in Kenya are very basic. They include:

  1. Proposed name of company.

What name would you give your business? Put a name on it. In order to reserve a name, you actually need to submit at least two names. This is done to make sure that no two or more businesses can have the same name. Therefore, the name must be as original as possible.

The term is used to describe to the value of a company's shares as expressed in the specified or assigned share capital. The company’s memorandum and articles of association will always disclose the highest amount of money that may be invested in the company.

  2. CR1 – This is basically the Company Registration form.
  3. CR 2 – which is the Memorandum of a company with share capital
